Traveling to the pumpkin patch in the hay wagon.

Ready to see some faces in the trees...Spooky!

Learning about the honeybees.

Watching the bees working.

Looking fort the queen with the red dot.

We get to see like a honeybee.

Picking our delicious apples

Getting ready to head home on the bus.

We had a great learning experience at Little Farmer.  Thanks to all of our helpers today!

Pumpkin Experiment

Does it sink or float?

It floats!

Our pumpkin has 26 lines.

Our pumpkin is 8 cubes tall.

Our pumpkin floats, too!

Let's count the lines together.

Measuring with unifex cubes, ours is 7 cubes tall.

Even ours floats!

Great teamwork.

Were are predictions correct?

Placing the seeds in groups of ten.

This is so much work!

Counting by tens to find how many seeds our pumpkin had.

Families, Families

Fifth Grade Reading Buddies

Cylus is totally engaged with his partner.

We love Reading Buddies with our fifth grade friends.

Abby was really happy she has her brother as a partner.

We are learning so much from listening to our partner read.

Daily Five Read to Self

I found a spot and am ready to read.
I can read the pictures, the words, or retell a story.

I can sit anywhere I like as long as I read the whole time.

I am becoming a better reader, writer, and speller.

First Day of Kindergarten

Our first day of kindergarten was fun.  We had so many new procedures to learn.

I was not worried though, because Mrs. Kossman can be a little silly like us.

Looking forward to another great day tomorrow.  Kindergarten is awesome!
